What a fantastic day down at Thredbo this weekend.  We were lucky with the weather and there was plenty of late snow about which made it even more enjoyable.
Thanks to everyone who was part of the 3Peak walking group, the brilliant guides, the lodge manager, the CMRI fund raising team and all those that made this possible so that we could raise funds to continue the ground breaking research at CMRI

All the preparation is now behind the Three Peaks team and tomorrow we travel down to Thredbo in readiness for the walk on Saturday.

Majestic peak overlooking Hobart. Plenty of walking tracks to the summit. Wind chill at the top was -3

Overnight walk to one of the highest peaks in the SW. Still patches of snow

Tuesday 27th Sep
On Friday I'm off to Tasmania for a bushwalking holiday.  First week I will be walking the famous and stunningly scenic Three Capes Walk (making sure I'm keeping with the Three Theme).  Second week there will be a couple of overnight or day walks with a friend who lives in Hobart

Tuesday 27th Sep
Over the last month I haven't been bushwalking because I have been baby sitting a 12 month old staffie called Koda, but I've been walking over 10,000 steps a day morning and evening excising her, so I'm not feeling too bad.

Training in the Blue Mountains

Wednesday 31st Aug
Getting some training done with Sihai Hou in the Blue Mountains, not that there will be the same vegetation.  Lots of ups and downs, wet vegetation as well as sandy and rocky paths to contend with.  Lots of beautiful scenery 

Where are we going?

Tuesday 23rd Aug
The walk on November 12 will take us from Thredbo up the chairlift and then walk up to Mt Kosciuszko (2228 m), then on to Etheridge Ridge (2180 m) and finally Rams Head North (2177 m) before returning to Thredbo.  Looking forward to the challenge and raising funds for CMRI

In sharing my donation page on LinkedIn I have received some heartfelt stories about how CMRI's research is making a huge difference to people's lives.  
Donna has shared her story about her son who lives with Cystic Fibrosis and who is now about to celebrate his 21st birthday thanks to pioneering medical research. Donna messaged her LinkedIn contacts and asked that they consider supporting me "because the 'mountains' he is climbing are representative of the mountains so many families like my own scale when living with lifelong genetic conditions that impact our children's lives everyday". #cysticfibrosis #makingadifference
