Archie's triathlon for cystic fibrosis

By Archie Kerr

Why I’m doing it

Hey, I’m Archie!

I’m 16 years old, and I’m from Australia. I’m an enthusiastic, energetic person who loves playing sports, and I’m always curious to learn new things, especially in web3.

Ever since I was a kid, I’ve been hardcore into sport – whether it’s running, biking, AFL, or any other of the various sports I have done. While I have to stay active to stay healthy, I genuinely love it.

But here’s something you might not expect – I have cystic fibrosis, an incurable chronic lung disease. I’m one of the lucky ones, my lung function is at 118%, and I’m super healthy. I hardly need physiotherapy because I stay so fit. Unfortunately, not everyone with CF is as fortunate, which is why I’m so passionate about helping those who are stuck with it, unable to play sports or live a normal life.

On February 23 I will be taking part in a Triathlon to raise funds for research and hope for children with Cystic Fibrosis.

CMRI funds vital research to improve the lives of children affected by genetic conditions, including cystic fibrosis, and works to find better treatments and cures for these rare diseases.

Please support my triathlon journey by making a donation today.
